1. Display Tower: A Modern Interpretation of Roycroft Furniture
$15/ticket; $25/two tickets

Roycroft furniture represents a distinctive branch of the Arts and Crafts movement, produced by the Roycroft community in East Aurora, New York, between 1895 and 1938. Known for their sturdy, rectilinear forms, Roycroft pieces were typically crafted from white oak—a material prized for its strength and stability. The furniture features visible wood joinery, such as mortise-and-tenon joints, often secured with wooden pins or pegs, reflecting a commitment to both function and craftsmanship.

Inspired by these principles, the NWA Crafters team created an open back display tower based on a classic Roycroft design. This display tower is constructed of white oak, utilizing 3-degree angle cuts to achieve the progressively smaller shelf sizes that echo traditional Roycroft aesthetics. It is finished with a golden oak stain and polyurethane for enhanced color depth and protection. The top and bottom shelves incorporate through-tenon joinery, a woodworking technique that not only provides visual interest but also significantly increases the tower’s strength and structural integrity ensuring the piece remains both beautiful and durable for years to come.

2. Native American Style Flutes (Each winner will receive only one flute. A winner cannot receive more than one flute.)
$5/ticket. $12/three tickets
Flutes have been used by Indigenous peoples for about 1,000 years. Unlike other wind instruments it is an easy instrument to play. These flutes are characterized by having two air chambers: a slow air chamber, and a sound chamber. Air is directed from the slow chamber to the sound hole by means of a block or fetish strapped to the top of the flute. Resonance is created by a set of finger holes over the sound chamber. People can create their own music on the spot because its intrinsic scale is pentatonic minor (no wrong notes).

3. Cigar Box Guitars: Three and Four String Acoustic Gems (Each winner will receive only one guitar. A winner cannot receive more than one guitar.)
$5/ticket; $12/three tickets
A three-string guitar tuned to G D G with a 23” scale length (distance from the nut to the bridge) has an oak neck, walnut fretboard and maple fret markers. The four-string tuned to D G B E, the same tuning as a tenor guitar or baritone ukulele with a 19” scale length has an oak neck, maple fretboard with walnut fret markers. Both guitars are finished with wipe-on polyurethane. The pickup is a piezoelectric disc embedded on the neck with hot melt glue and located directly under the bridge. The bridge is held in position by the downward pressure of the strings and can be adjusted for optimum intonation.

Portion of the neck which runs through the cigar box. It is tapered to provide adequate string clearance over the body and is cut away so it only makes contact with the inside of the top of the cigar box at three points: at both ends of the box and directly under the bridge.
