Toy Factory has been an enjoyable part of the NWA annual Showcase event for about 20 years. It is intended to get kids interested in doing hands-on activities and promote woodworking with the hopes it will inspire them to learn more.
The Mid-Hudson Group of NWA created the Toy Factory for Showcase, which is held each March in Saratoga Springs. We create components for a variety of toys (cars, boats, totes, bird houses, planes, helicopters, etc.) that children can assemble and take home for free. Toy Factory is run by volunteers who create the parts and attend Showcase to help children assemble their toy. It is fun to work with the kids and see their smiles when they take their toy with them.
